I've opened a new FNB check account by making use of the phone in service. This was on 28Nov 2013. FNB then contacted me to arrange a suitable time to deliver the new card. This got delivered in time and at the agreed address. FNB also requested me to hand copies of my ID and proof of address to the courier which I did, this happened on Tuesday the 2nd December.
Up until today after countless calls and attempts online to activate the card it still does not work. Every time I phone in the operator states that there is a hold on the account as they need my fica docs (the docs I've given to the courier). Then they said I have to go into a branch to sort this matter out. As FNB prides them self about how quick and simple it is to "switch" I don't really see the need to go stand in line in the branch. I have just about had it with FNB and I have not even been or not been with them for 10 days!!!
How can this issue be resolved???
