DISCOVERY POLICY HOLDERS - BE WARNED!

After reading the policy on a subject, and after still not being sure, do you raise inquiries with your Discovery Financial Advisors who sold you the product? Do you trust their response, even if they articulate it on a mail? Well, don't!

My complaint: Whilst reading the policy to understand claiming and PayBack implications, I queried something I didn't understand via my Discovery Financial Advisor consultant. Mail communique shows the advisor wasn't sure, so forwarded it to a Discovery Broker. Respond received via mail clearly answered the query in favor of my concern wrt Payback impacts. In accordance a claim was submitted.

Payback amount received was shocking, and the query was deemed ignored. Discovery's respond: "we confirm that the PayBack calculation will not be reviewed. Although the information provided by the franchise consultant to the Financial Adviser was incorrect, this does not change the way in which the policy and benefit work" (evidently not clearly defined else I wouldn't have queried it)" They also apologized and advised that the consultant was new (...as if that is a valid excuse)

DO NOT INQUIRE THROUGH ADVISORS AND BROKERS
