Card retained - Bank is arrogant

For the second time in as many years, one of Standard Banks ATM's has retained my credit card for "Technical Reasons".
I reported the loss and the card was cancelled. I must now wait "5 to 7 working days"
Note, the CARD HAS BEEN CANCELLED. This means that the number is no longer valid, so I can't use it to login for internet banking. So for the next week and a half I have no credit card, no means to access any funds in any of my accounts, no means to make EFTs and no means of drawing cash.

Do Standard Bank care? Well, the call center agent apologized "for the inconvenience" but that means nothing. I don't care about apologies, I care about having no access to any of my money through no fault of my own.

Oh she did also make a point of assuring me that the card would be replaced at no charge. I should well hope so. But it going to cost me a trip to the bank and a wait in the queue in order to collect it.

Standard Bank should give me a card within 2 days and should deliver it to me!!! BUt they won't of course because they are too busy collecting interest on my credit card balance and preventing me from making a transfer.
