I had previously posted on Hello Peter a month ago regarding an issue I had with my account. I was unable to swipe my card or draw from any ATM. I had also laid a complaint on the Standard Bank website. It took a week for anybody from Standard Bank to respond to me regarding my complaint after having received a complaint number via SMS. A Mrs Sophy Masela contacted me and was extremely apologetic on Standard Banks behalf. The reason for my card not working was due to Standard Bank issuing me the incorrect card once my old one had expired. The card had to be embossed and I had received one that had not been. It worked for a few months and then stopped. Mrs Masela ensured me that she would contact my branch and have a new card ordered for me. The only means to access funds was through internet banking. This also decided to stop working last week, and I was left with not being able to have access to my account or funds at all. Eventually I received an email from Mrs Masela saying my new card is ready to be collected. I cannot take time off work to collect the card during the week or draw money for petrol! I emailed her and tried to contact her but there is never any answer! Shocking!
