ABSA REWARDS - False Advertising

The ABSA Rewards ads at SASOL states that you will get 5% back " NO CATCH" when you use your card at any Sasol garage EVERY TIME YOU SWIPE YOUR CARD!...

Nowhere do they state any exceptions or preconditions on the advertisements placed at the Sasol garages.

Well it turns out there is a BIG catch!!!( Face plant ABSA, after being a client for more than 20 years, I should have known better)

After NOT earning ANY rewards after spending R 725 and R R 620 respectively when refuelling at SASOL garages in Centurion I did a little search. I was contempt that the (G) ABSA R21 a month fee would be covered, because I would be "earning" R36.25 and R16.00 "rewards" on my fuel purchases per month.

After doing an online search, it turns out that there is a "" marked CATCH on the ABSA rewards website regarding the SASOL deal

Turns out you first have to accrue a R 3000 spend before getting any reward.

ABSA, THAT is NOT every time I swipe my card. ABSA, you do not state this on your SASOL billboards. ABSA this is FALSE advertising.

How about subtracting your R21/mnt cost after I have accrued a total of R3000 spend... mmm? Does that sound fair and open?...No "catch"?
