My grandmother was able to use her online banking last year. When she logged on this year she got a message that the service will only allow her to view and not make transactions as her online limits have not been set. This is impossible because of the fact that her online service was functioning one hundred percent. I tried to call the help desk where I got absolutely no service the first time, as the help desk agent cut the call. The second I phoned a lady tried to help me but was unable to do so. I then went to Absa Mall @ Reds, where I got a very snotty attitude, and was told that my grandmother had to go in to the bank herself. I even tried to mail the complaints department of Absa, which was also a waste of time as no one has come back top me as yet, and still the problem persist. My grandmother is 89 years old. She is still trying to recover from her battle with cancer, and she has got extreme difficulty walking, as her hip constantly gives way under her. So now Absa wants a lady in her condition and of her age to go in to the branch itself. Then so be it!!!
