ABSA LOST MY FUNERAL POLICY I HAD FOR 10 YEARS

I took out a Flexi Funeral Policy in June 2003, every month the debit order went off my bank account without fail. I decided as it is December coming up, just to check & change my details which I had done 2 years back & ask them to send me a "Fresh" Policy as the one I had was very old. Calling the Call Centre was told they have lost my policy, the old number does not exist on their systems, they had no record of me. Would not update any info or my current address even when offered to send docs to them. Was told to go to Branch, I took time off work and went to Greenstone Branch with my Outsurance (on Car) proof of residence and Utility bill. The assistant was very unprofessional, offish and unhelpful, said I am not even on their Branch system as a Policy Holder, she called the Call Centre..and they told me their systems are down and they have no record of me. I had to cancel a 10 year policy & the woman at the Call centre still shouted at me "not to expect a refund"?? The Staff at the Call centre and the Branch are rude, unhelpful, they need training on how to deal with clients. It took me 5 minutes in STD Bank to get a Funeral Policy. I am disgusted with ABSA!!!
