First National Bank
C/Card Appl: Claim for costs, due to gross delay

Business & Finance

Ms M. Moodley offered me telph. a FNB Gold C/ Card on 30 Oct 2013, which I accepted. Part of the agreement was that FNB will settle my account with W/Worths and transfer my debt over to my c/card, R19, 000 on budget and R1, 000 on straight, over 36 months. I sent her the docs as well as the settlem. form, reflecting the amount of R20, 102, same day. My c/c card appl. was approved on 30/10. I received my card on 7/11 and it was activated on 08/11. On 08/11 I emailed Ms Moodley to ask if she could pay settlement, i.r.o. which I got no reply! On 13/11 I resend email, enq. when settlement will be made! She responded to say she was on study leave and asked me to resend the settlem. form. She said she will escalate the matter - 14 days after appl! On 14/11 a lady phoned to say FNB can't pay a settlem.larger that R20, 000 - I said pay R19, 000, as my outst. bal at W/W was less that R19, 000 on 13/11. On 15/11 I received a sms, that my c/c limit was exceeded, please pay R19, 907! FNB payment of R19, 000 was finally made on 15/11. Due to unnecessary delay, interest of R410.16 accrued on my W/W account on 14/11 and the acc is still not settled! Its unacceptable and I claim that FNB pay the interest.
