My husband and I have a joint account at FNB, which allows us both excess to the same account.
My husband could not make it to collect his new card so he gave me a signed document (which shouldn't't be necessary) to collect it. We were we told when opening the account that we would be allowed to sign on each others behalf.
The consultant was so rude and refused blatantly to give me the card even though I was given permission and a document to receive it. I then asked to see the manager to help out since I had specially got transport to the bank and did not want to leave without the card, I then asked for the card to be delivered to my husband and he said that is not possible, he refused to call the manager and went on to say 'You have such expensive sunglasses why do you use a transport. ' I was horrified at such a statement and immediately stood up to leave. He then said I'm sorry I can't help you because I could get fired. I did not understand his ignorance and just left since there wasn't even a manager to over see things.
It looks like this bank puts more effort into getting STEVE everything and forgets about the rest of the people who make it possible for STEVE to exist.
