First National Bank
What is the correct procedure?

Business & Finance

I had my very first bad experience at an FNB branch yesterday and I do not want to go through something like that again. We have a stokvel account with FNB and one of the signing members no longer wants to be involved and will not be signing anymore. I consulted with the Benmore branch and I was told that I need to get a resignation letter from the existing signing member and she must sign it, I should then take the letter to a branch and bring along a new member who will be signing in her place. That is exactly what I did yesterday at Eastgate but then I was told that I needed to get signatures from all the stokvel members with their ID #s. They also requested that I bring a resolution. What resolution?? We don't have a resolution!!! Why am I getting a different story from this branch? The members of the stokvel were not even there when we opened the account, it was just me and this lady who is resigning. Some of them are based in CPT, how am I supposed to get a signature from them? Can somebody tell me what the correct procedure is? What do I need to submit to the bank in order to change the signatories so we can put in notice to get our money
