I have 3 accounts with STB and have had many issues when it comes to them assisting me in troubling times, but they are quickly to deduct monthly fees etc. My main issue with them is concerning my mother's STB account. Her card was, took place and I fought with them for more than a year. She had all the Police statement etc. She ended up paying R20000 because they gave some ridiculous excuse. Last month a Consultant phoned her and said that if she paid R9000 than she will receive a discount of R3000. She paid the R9000 because she had the money. Another Consultant phoned her after that and said that it does not apply to her etc. Now she has to pay the R3000 next month. STB treated my mother with such disrespect! The main reason why they infuriate me so much is there lack of care when you need it. I am also a client for the last 9 years and have had more negative dealings with STB than positive ones. Communication amongst Departments are NON existent. I will be changing my personal Cheque account to Capitec in the next couple of days. STB should really take note of the fact that they are second on the Hello Peter list for 'companies with unhappy/disgruntled' clients.
