Insurance claim kicked out

Hello Peter thank you for this platform to voice our frustration. our house started to crack badly and the gradient of the flooring has changed due to subsidence hence the tiles have cracked and lifted. As proud home owners we have tried to fix this ourselves, but due to financial constraints we have to live with some unsightly problems. ABSA repudiated the claim based on the pool man's opinion that it was due to the drought as the pool also cracked. We have now had an engineer look at it and a geo-tech and they say it is definately subsidence NOT due to drought. The assessor sent by ABSA never even took samples or opened anything up. They sent a email stating they will not enter into any claim with us and we must get hold of the ombudsman which we did. He said that Absa are using the pool man's uneducated comment "due to drought" to not entertain the claim. Please help us as I have now exhausted all avenues.
