MTN promoted cellphone insurance provider!!!

Cellphone insurance sold me to me when I took out a contact for my 12 yr old Son. When the phone broke and could not be repaired or replaced after 4 months I asked if I could put the claim money towards a tablet (which also makes calls so is a cellphone as well) and was declined. The MTN Ombusman then took on my issue and was not successful either in this request even though he agreed with me? I finally settled after 10 months of trying to make my point and took a replacement phone (which I was upfront about that it would be sold). I purchased the tablet which I wanted only to realise after months that I was still being charged insurance premiums every month? I have paid insurance premiums for almost a year on a phone that was sent into 24HR Mobility and then for one I did not keep. When querying where I opted to take insurance on the replacement phone I have been advised that I did not cancel the insurance? This is ridiculous and surely there is some type of customer service who can assist? The MTN Ombusman has NO POWER to assist!!!
I am very disappointed and am cancelling all my MTN contracts ASAP - Vodacom here I come...
