Waiting for Policy Payment

25 years ago I took out an endowment policy with old Mutual - one of the worst investment decisions I have made. After 25 years I have not recovered my premiums in today's money.

For 25 years OM did not bother with servicing my policy. Suddenly a month before maturity I started receiving a number of calls from euphemistically titled "Broker Service Professionals". I informed them I did not want any advice from OM and to pay out my policy. The maturity date was 1 Nov 13. I was informed on 4 Nov 13 for the first time that I had to fill out some claim forms. Forms were duly completed and sent on 5 Nov 13. Still waiting for OM to pay out. The stock response is that my application is "in the queue". Does anybody out there have anything good to say about OM.
