In August a car rental company duplicated a transaction on my credit card account & refused to process a reversal, the original contract document in their possession had a vast number of tipex & figure alterations which I hadn't signed for. I contacted card division & spoke to several consultants who turned a blind eye to my dilemma & neglected to offer any further assistance. Had it not been for excellent service received from Ramon, I would be writing a complaint about Absa instead. Ramon logged a dispute on my behalf with card division, failing which he proceeded to log an enquiry with the Ombudsman requesting reversal of the duplicated transaction. This was a timeous process, a period during which Ramon went out of his way to keep me informed of the progress via email. Eventually the Ombudsman approved & processed the reversal. This gentleman deserves a service hero award for his immense display of empathy, kindness, ability to listen and his willingness to assist; surely I am one many Absa clients for whom he has gone the extra mile. Thank you Ramon, to me you were purely sent, words cannot explain my gratitude for your assistance, but my will surely bless you.
