Our credit card machine was upgraded to a newer "better" model. Since it was installed over a month ago, it has not worked. All that has happened is that we have had a technitian here 3 times and our telephone account has increased by over R700 as the card machine keeps dialing all throughout the day. Upon enquiring, once again, from FNB Speedpoint what we should do, we were told that these new machines have a problem being on the Telkom line and we should hire an additional modem. Why should we pay them more? We agreed upon a working machine, not one that you have to build up bit by bit! So they naturally passed the buck to Telkom saying that they have faulty lines. I phoned Telkom, they checked, and surprise surprise, no fault on their side. Phoned Speedpoint back AGAIN and the cycle just started all over again. So here we are, cannot get one standard price for a modem, phone line not faulty, sky high telkom account, and STILL no card facilities for our customers! It is absolutely unacceptable!
