First National Bank
Incorrect allocation of payment

Business & Finance

Good day

My name Mr Dadumia Gaffoor. My complaint relates to the following:

On the 5 November 2013 I was at your Parow Branch to pay my credit card. After waiting 30 minutes I was attended to by the cashier. On my deposit slip it clearly stated the account to be paid namely my credit card with the amount of R472.The cashier printed the receipt and gave me a photostat copy of it.

Yesterday 7/11/2013 I intended to use my credit card as payment for the purchases i made and to my utter horror the card was declined due to insufficient funds.

I called the Call Centre and the agent confirmed that the money was deposited into my savings account and not my credit card. I could not transfer the money back to my credit card due to the being insuffiecent.

She then made a temporary loan available which she confirmed would be available immediately. I went to the ATM to do a transfer and to my dismay I was unable to.

I have been part of FNB for 15 years and never missed a payment. Please attend to this matter as soon as possible as I work for a bank and cannot have a negative credit listing. I also wish to be compensated for the inconvenince as well.
