FNB Insurance Brokers
Computer 'accidently'changes policy holder address

Business & Finance

FNB Brokers Durban transferred their 'book' of (quote.. Mr Justine Macmillan broker consultant Telesure) approx. 5000 short term insurance policies, from Durban to FNB Brokers Johannesburg in late August 2013.
FNB Brokers Johannesburg outsourced 'an undisclosed number' of these policies to Telesure / Auto and General. In the case of Mr P Grunow, a letter had apparently been sent to the policy holders 'snail mail' address, on 29 Aug 2013, supposedly having included an updated policy schedule indicating that the premium for vehicle insurance had increased from approx. R680 to approx. R1700. This letter and updated policy schedule, which had 'conveniently' erroneously been sent the incorrect postal address in Durban, has, to date, 7 November 2013, NOT been received, via postal service. IN THE 'BOOK' transfer process (quote Mr Justine MacMillan) the 'COMPUTER' had supposedly CHANGED THE ADDRESS, but had conveniently deleted the City name of Durban, and had only included the street name and number, without the correct postal code. No chance of the policy holder ever having been timeously informed of policy premium increase, and consequent intentional prejudice to policy holder.2B Contin
