Ins Policies thro FNB many years. The Ins Co covering was Mutual 7 Federal. Tried to process a claim via FNB Ins Brokers who could not find an account in may name. After 2 days of confusion it was established that my policy had been migrated to Auto & General hence a new account number etc. I have no record of being advised of this and cannot establish from the Call Centre of FNB what the background is. On contacting Auto & General there appeared to be a non-awareness on their side as well. As far as they were concerned I was a brand new client which had come into their books for the first time in October 2013 and was therefore claiming against a policy that was less than 2 mths old whereas I have been a policy holder for more than 10 years in fact. I would like clarity on this matter as well as a new policy schedule from the "new" company, Auto & General... Apart from some lack of awareness, I found Auto & General to be efficient so far... What caused a bit of sourness was the insistence from one of their Consultants that I MUST HAVE moved the Policy myself in August and in need be it could be proved by accessing the recordings of conversations.
