I was going to Italy so I started saving money into the credit card, I had saved about R25k into the card by the 22/09. I sent an email notifying them about my traveling arrangements, asking if my limits could be set for international travel. The lady replied requesting further details on the 23/09, which I supplied immediately. I then went to Forex to buy Euros on the 1/10 and we had to call for authorization which made me feel uneasy. So I called the call center to double check if all was well, and was told everything is fine. I left e country on the 3/10. On the 5/10 when I tried to use the card it didn't work. I tried several merchants without any luck. I was stranded without any money. I had to make arrangements to transfer my savings which I got penalized for. Upon my return I phoned wanting to transfer my money back into my account. She explained that the bank blocked certain cards because of FICA documents without notifying the customers. I was previously told all is well when I enquired about the FICA documents in August (another incident of bad service from the company). I'm really disappointed by the lack of service from the company and the distress they caused.
