I went to FNB on Friday 25th October to pick up my new Gold Cheque card, not even a 30 min after picking the card up, i received a sms and then a phone call to say was happening on my card. A card i hadn't even used yet. Apparently they had put a stop to the card, but just to be 100% sure i went into the N1 City branch to check and yes a card was cancelled! BUT THE WRONG CARD! After being told on the phone the card ending 1982 which was indeed my Gold Card the man who helped me insisted that it was impossible to clone a brand new card. I then left the bank only to find out on Sunday the 27th October two more transactions went off my card. I was then furious as this was an even bigger amount than what went off on the Friday. Monday the 28th October they cancelled the right card. I had no means of making use of my money, I use my car on a daily basis for WORK PURPOSES and going a couple of days without a card means no petrol! i then applied for a credit card which was declined as i tried too many times. Now i'm strapped for cash and FNB is at fault. I find it highly unfair! None of this is my fault and i have things to pay! I feel i need to take my business elsewhere
