This is not the first time I have had issues with your card services department, & I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere. This sort of nonsense was why I changed banks in the first place.
I was recently upgraded from a silver to a gold credit card account & I collected my new gold card, as well as a new gold chip & pin cheque card, from your Bayside branch at the beginning of May.
I only attempted to use my new credit card this past weekend & it was declined. I called your card services department twice this evening & spoke to 2 consultants & eventually a team leader. The long & short of it that the card in my hand is linked to my cancelled silver credit card account & the card itself has therefore been cancelled. When I mentioned to the team leader that the card in my hand is GOLD & not silver, she said that all credit cards issued nowadays are gold (interesting, as my fiancee has a platinum card that is certainly not gold). Also interesting is that the top of my card reads GOLD CREDIT CARD. I now have to trek to Bayside yet again this weekend to collect the CORRECT gold card that is apparently waiting for me.
I am absolutely disgusted to put it mildly.
