REFUSAL TO HONOUR WARRANTY

Vehicle worked for 10000km; all services up to date. Camshaft belt strips - about R14000 damage. Engine stripped; noted that a camshaft was welded (not known to anyone). Claim denied because of the welding; will only honour a mechanical breakdown. So... if it worked for 10000 trouble free km...??? If the weld were to be responsible why did the damage not occur 10000km go? SOUNDS LIKE A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN TO ME! Claim 074241.
