FNB - How can we waste your time?

I applied online for a smart phone through my FNB cheque account about a month ago and was declined. I thought this was quite strange as I earn over R20 000 a month after tax and have very little debt. I called the FNB smart devices department to escalate this and afterwards I was told that my order had been placed and that I would receive my device within 10 to 15 working days.
After 3 weeks I called to follow up and was told that no order had been placed. I was extremely annoyed but was told that a rushed order would be placed and I would receive my phone within a week (This was last Wednesday). I called again on Monday and was assured that I would be contacted within the next day or two by the couriers. Today (Thursday), I called again to follow up and was told me that they had no record of any order ever having been placed.
It has now been over a month without anyone of FNB's side even placing an order for me despite giving me the run around and assuring me that it was on its way. I have spent well over R300 in airtime trying to order this device - a device on which Vodacom offers next day delivery.
I can't believe FNB has the audacity to advertise good customer service
