Upset first time home owne

Hello Peter,

I bought a house and the transfer went through in July. I then contact the home loans department to find out if they can't send out somebody to come check out the visible damages in the house. The walls have cavities that falls holes when you touch it and the ceiling is cracked as well. When the heavy rains fell it looked as if the ceiling would cave in and water was literally dripping on my floor. The consultant then told me their assessors approved the house so I must take it up with the seller - what is the odds of the seller fixing it? I then tried having it fixed through the insurance (also standard bank) they sent out their insurance people and said no they do not cover it because the problem with the waterproofing.

Standard bank is quick to offer bonds and that is as far as their services goes.
