What can't i phone a brach directly

How ridiculous that you can't phone a branch directly, spent 15 min (mostly listening to a sales pitch of other products while on hold) on my cell phone trying to get in contact with business banker in ballito.just a bunch of shallow excuses, standard bank is becoming totally impersonal, all under the pretense of service, it is quicker for me to drive to the branch and wait there for help.it is rediculous that one can't phone a branch directly. I guess its time to look for more personal service banking with another Bank.and its not like i don't get charged enough in fees to not fund someone answering a call at a branch. They should spend more on staff and less on advertising
