Double deduction - customer service pathetic

My account was debited twice for the same amount a minute apart. The supplier insists that only 1 amount was banked from their side and that the bank needs to refund me, they actually contacted the bank and was assured that the matter would be resolved within 24 hours. I AM STILL WAITING. I have been transferred from call centre to call centre, person to person, no one knows what to do or who can assist. ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY returned to me. Its absolutely ridiculous that I have to beg for this to happen. I am frustrated and furious!!!
