I have been client with Miway since 2010 on a no excess fee premium and have never had a major claim with them. i have only recent claim for my jewellery which didnt even cost more that R2k.

On 3rd October i called to report an accident for my car repairs and it only came to my attention that i have to pay excess which we never signed up for. Mmabatho only alerted me that there was an email that was sent on 3rd September to inform us as clients that revision to premiums is underway but they effected whatever their proposal was without our response and advise to them on that email. it is very unprofessional and uncold for to be charged too much premium simply because other clients with no excess have been claiming more often.

I mean reason that one would opt for no excess is valid enough and the premium for no excess is higher than that of with excess. we have been paying R1, 8k per month for all our belongings and after Mmabatho explained that if we want to continue with no excess fee, we would have to now pay R3, 3k. that is totally ridiculous charge. what is surprising is that they never called and made a follow up of what is our option or advise to them since they sent the email
