I'm in no Excess contract (or at least I thought) with MiWay. I made a claim this Monday (25/11/13) and I was told that I need to pay 3200 EXCESS. They tell me that they sent an 'email' explaining that all those in no excess will be moved to R3200 excess. I never got the email. Now I am told the following:
- There is nothing they can do
- If I want to go back to 0 Excess, my premium will have to increase (now they acknowledge that fact)
- The Head of Customer Service is not available
- I should check my policy every month

My window is smashed and it is raining now in Cape Town. Im being failed by Miway. If I got the email, I would have terminated my contract with MiWay and looked for better insurance with better customer service. I am puzzled by this response from MiWay. If they are running a by flashing interesting packages that they can change without the consent of their client, than the whole world needs to know.

They should define CONTRACT. Changes have been made to my contract without my consent to something as critical as Excess and Premium. If this is how my way is doing business, than I do not see why anyone would wanna do business with them.
