Outsurance
Just like that!!

So I've been insured with Outsurance since 2007, that's 6 years. I drive a Ford Fiesta. I'm one of those clients that calls each year to see if every thing is in order to update my details and naturally to check what I can do to reduce my monthly premiums.
To date I've reduced these 3 times for the following reasons:
Getting married
Having a Child
Doing an advanced Driving course
I then decided to investigate house hold insurance, while chatting to the consultant she casually informs me that during our conversation she has made certain changes to my policy and now my Car insurance has GONE UP from R401/month to R540 - Just like that!
When I asked what the reason was she said my risk address during the day (WHICH IS IN BEDFORDVIEW in the basement that is access controlled and has 24hr security)
I didn't think this was a reasonable, so I asked to chat to her manager who told me that the real reason is because I'm divorced.
Like I said I call EVERY YEAR to check that my details are 100% Naturally when I got divorced and moved out I called to inform them so a year later they increase my premium???
The manager tried to assist and reduced my premium to R470.
