ZAR 500, 00 just disappear

On the 27th December 2012 I paid my garage Rand 500, 00 with my debit card.
The amount was deducted from my account, however did not reach the account of the garage.
I went to my branch where I spend 1 and 1/2 hours to rectify this problem. I got a reference Nr. and was assured to hear from the bank within 12 working days. However I heard nothing.
So I phoned them and was told they would phone me back. Nothing!!
I phoned the next day. Nothing!! I phoned 5 times. Nothing!!!
The 6th time I lost my temper. This time the Lady phoned back and told me the money was reimbursed and would show up on my account the next day. Guess what! Nothing!!!
I phoned again and was told the bank could not find the money and could not reimburse it.
