Disgusted by Standard Bank and Shell Garage

On Monday morning, I went to Shell Garage in New Rd on my way to work to put in a few litres of fuel. When I swipped my standard bank card for payment, the receipt from the machine came out with an "unsuccessful" report but I immediately got an SMS on my phone that the money was deducted. I showed the attendant the SMS and he insisted that the money will be deposited back into my account and that I need to swipe again because he need the receipt that is successful.. We did that, with a different card and the money went through. I waited for 24hrs for the money and it never came through, I then called the Shell and the lady told me that I should wait 48hr, again the money didnt come through. I called again and the lady told me that I need to come to their office with a bank statement from the bank and not electronic one. My problem here is : 1. Now I have to drive from Soweto to Midrand with my own petrol, 2. I have to get the bank statement from Std bank which I will have to pay for, 3. What about my time that I'm waitsing for something that is not my fault. Will you guys reimburse me?? I am so dissapointed and angry at Standard Bank and Shell and this not the first time.
