I made a transfer into an "Incorrect" acc on the 24 July 2013 i only received feedback on 10 Oct 2013 from the intended recipient that i had transferred into an incorrect acc. I immediately called FNB Online Banking and was advised that the refund would take 72 hours, forms where sent to me via e-mail and i completed and sent the forms off. Only to be advised that the request was unsuccessful and that i would have to contact the recipient my self and go the Small Claims Court. I called the Complaints department and advised them of my dilemma. i was told that they would escalate to a Specialist and feedback would be provided. I called the nearest Branch (Braamfontein) and explained my story and the lady Vaughney advised me to come through to the branch. I went into the Braamfontein Branch who were off line at the time and she advised that the funds where in a GL Acc, that she would follow up with the Bank City Branch as they had access to the funds. She advised the the consultant at Bank City Branch was on lunch and that Vaughney would keep me on the loop. i was assured that this refund would be done as she could no. after numerous calls for feedback the request is declined
