We have an FNB car insurance they put us under Santam & our debit order is due on the 27th of the month without any notification or phone call they changed the debit order date to the 30th & have changed us from Santam to Auto & General not only that the fee changed from R585 to R702.

My complaint is 1) the new contract we never got so we do not even know what the new terms & conditions are with Auto & General they claim to have sent it but to an email that does not exist & is not in our policy.
2) we were not prepared for a R702 debit order for the 30th so it bounced & FNB charged us R138 missed debit order which we were told we could claim back cause it was paid from my savings pocket & have been trying to do so with Veneshree Padayachee & I am failing.
3) this was not our fault had we been aware we would have been prepared so now they have cancelled our Insurance & for the month of October we are told we are not covered!
4) how can we be punished with paying a R138 & have no cover for October for something that was not our fault are we not suppose to be advised on time on changes now it's like we are being told as FNB we did everything wrong on our end but you must pay for it.
