TOLD TO DRIVE CAR BUT YOU WON'T BE COVERED

I am in the process of selling my car, and buying another, but the problem being is my new car is in Cape Town so I am having to drive to Cape Town to deliver my existing car and collect my new car.
My Daughter is going to come with me, she is not a named driver and I wanted to make her a named driver so we car share the driving.
BUT I GET TOLD SHE CAN DRIVE THE CAR BUT IF SHE IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WE ARE NOT COVERED
I asked to speak to a senior manager, same response, I ask to be put through to the Managing Directors PA so that I can make an appointment to see the Managing Director ___ BUT AS USUAL I AM GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AND EVENTUALY HAVE THE PHONE PUT DOWN ON ME
Is there a reputable insurance company in SA or is Dial Direct just another insurance company that is happy to take money from its clients, but when a responsible client wants to upgrade his policy he is ignored and told to drive his car when its not covered
