I phoned today to report that my very strong prescription glasses broke as a result of accidentally sitting on them while dressing up in the morning, I have been wearing glasses for 32 years and seeing one Optician since 32 years including an Eye Surgeon, this is the first time I broke a pair of glasses and have never been negligent, it is an unspecified item but was part of the home contents and due to accidental damage at the time of the incident, one cannot specify everything, the Hollard claims department cannot tell me if they can capture the claim or not. I was told by the operator that they cannot find my policy then it was cancelled then, we found it now as the system migration is a major problem, I was advised Manager will call me, what are we dealing here, people have no idea at Hollard / FNB what can be claimed or not or provide proper advice, all I require is a simple yes or no without any prejudice from my side so I can get a pair of glasses and not meet with an accident this afternoon while driving.
