MOMENTUM - No go and only 1 month short of 2 yrs

I lost my prescription glasses about 3 months ago. Actually, they were found, handed in at a restaurant near where my car was parked. The owner of the restaurant just left them on a table outside and they were subsequently.By the way... who does that??!! So I called my optometrist, who phoned back to say Momentum won't pay for glasses until October. Okay, acceptable. So I battle on through the last couple of months, first with over the counter glasses, and when they started causing terrible headaches, my sister offered her "old" prescription glasses, which I have been using, but they are now also giving me headaches. So, I figure that I hardly ever use my medical aid and being that I can officially get my glasses next month, I would call Momentum and request a "pre-authorisation" (for lack of a better word). I did not for a second believe that they would not assist and was dumb founded to be told that I must wait until next month. I am not wanting new glasses because I CAN get a new pair every 2 years. I really NEED the glasses to be able to see and function normally, but more importantly I need them to be able to do my work!! I am very disappointed in Momentum Health!!!
