Delaying tatics

I was invovled in an accident on the 20/07/13 .I put in a claim with my brokers winchester brokers .after much frustration and delays I was sent an aol to my suprise I was being charged a basic of 10 % additional 10% becosthe vehicle was a writeoff. I tried eexplaining to them that I had no idea off the additional excess and was told that they cant explain everything to me. I told them I am prepared to pay the minimum basic and not the additional becos I wasnt explained and properly informed.they now say I must pay 5% of the additional which I feel is still unfair. I now have requested the recording of my conversation with them to no aval.there seems to be a dont care attitude with both the brokers and the insurance company.we are at they mercy so they take full advantage off this with passing the buck and delaying tactics?
