Miway is truly the replacement item for AFI

Being a Vodacom staff member and utilising internal recommended services I moved my business to AFI 3 years ago. What a huge mistake this has been. We have an ALL RISK claim for specified items damaged when our home was flooded. Firstly this company wants to replace damaged electronic items that have been discontinued with a so called similar item. The manufacturer advises that there is no replacement item but AFI has taken it upon themselves to try to pay out a lower amount than sum insured on what they deem is a replacement item. I know in SA is the name of the game but this is completely and utterly ridiculous. All written correspondence from ourselves to point out replacement with similar item in their policy wording has been ignored as no such wording exists. 2 Months later and no word from this company with our claim not being settled. We have escalated, complained and even been in touch with their internal ombuds and nothing to date. This is ALL RISK people not household item. Can someone in AFI with a single brain cell in their head sort this out. Reading the Hellopeter complaints I refuse to deal with a shady company like yours. I will move my business.
