I am very disappointed and highly regret my decision to purchase a ghd straightner.
I bought my VERY expensive ghd straightner and I loved using the product, however within less than 12 months the straightner malfunctioned. Seeing that the item has a 24 month gaurantee I sent it to GHD and they replaced it because according to them the problem could not be fixed.
18 Months after receiving the replacement item, this one also malfunctioned in exactly the same way. I was quite upset about the fact that it presented with exactly the same problem, but luckily it was again still within the 24 mnth gaurantee period... except it wasn't... because according to ghd, when they replace a fautly item, the gaurentee period does not start over with the new replacement item. So they simply said sorry and sent me the details of a repair centre...
To me that means they know that their very highly priced product does not live to see 2 years and they dont want to forever keep on replacing them.
I am so disappointed because my ghd was by far my favourite item I have ever purchased, however I will NEVER buy one again because to pay R2300 for a product that does not last even 2 years is ridiculous.
