Pathetic car accident repair assistance

On Saturday 14 September 2013 at 12:00 I hit a stray dog with my car (an Audi A5) between Aberdeen and Willowmore on N9. The radiator was damaged and lost all water and I had to stop next to the road. AA put me in contact with their tow-in service consultant Tienie Appel in Aberdeen who took my car to the VW/Audi garage in George on the same day as instructed by AA for R3871 which I had to pay in cash.

On Monday 16 September I got VW/Audi garage's management (Delmarie Delport 0448744193) permission to leave the car there while I sort the situation out with my insurer. I rented a car for R875 at AVIS for the time being. Also on 16 September I contacted my long-standing insurer Hollard (policy 004633093Q) to report the incident and ask for their assistance. Hollard informed me that they would contact me in due course.

Despite daily calls to Hollard and uncertainty about where they would have it fixed (to Mossel Bay, George, Pretoria, George, Plettenburg Bay, Pretoria, George) my wife and I eventually flew back to Johannesburg at roughly R2200 and took delivery of a Hollards loan car for R1000 and drove home to Pretoria on 20 Septem
