I have been on maternity leave from March 2013 until August 2013. My baby was born premature at 24 weeks and he was in ICU for 3 months. This has been a terrible time for my family and most especially me. I have had tremendous financial costs involved as my salary was 50% and UIF paid me barely the other 50%. Just before the incident I paid a huge sum of money into my credit card and was up to date on payments. Since then, things have been very tough financially but now that I am back at work, I can start getting life back together. ABSA Bank have been the most rude, unsympathetic and heartless people during this time. I have been a client for 12 years and I am terribly disgusted and shocked at their system and ways of debt handling!!! My first conversation involved speaking to a lady from the call center and she seemed to understand and I agreed to make small payments towards the outstanding amount. A few weeks later, a guy called me and he was so rude and refused to listen and kept throwing my "amount owing" in my face. I told him that I have spoken to somebody already and explained myself but he didn't care. I even asked him if they made notes on their system and he didn't ans
