Interest on positive loan balance

I recently settled my personal loan account with Standard Bank then asked a branch consultant to have the account closed. I was told the account would automatically be closed within 2-3 weeks of having paid off my loan. It had a positive balance upon being settled but now I am paying "Interest on overdraft @ 13%". How is this possible when I do not have an overdraft anymore?? I demand this account be closed and done with!
