My daughters room caught on fire during City Powers power outage and we are extremely lucky that she was not hurt!! Her bed set alight together with the curtains, carpet etc
I had to deal with two different insurerers one for the content and one for the fire damage to wall and carpets.
The household was paid out pretty quickly and i am still waiting on Zurich... i cant do anything until the painting and carpets have been fixed. My entire family are sleeping in one room!! There is NO SENCE of urgency and i am still waiting nearly 10 days later!! When i follow up i get the same story!! Our complex is insured through them and i am finding it very frustrating!
