You haven't closed my account and took my money!

I have received a settlement figure of R89.13 for my credit card from an agent on the 5th September and paid it whilst I was still busy with that call. I got confirmation that they saw the payment.

You have since charged me R0.50 on the 5th, R74.40 finance charge on the 7th and R41.00 service fee on the 19th. My balance is now R (26.77).

I don't care about any explanations about why this happened. I don't care if it is something that was already in the system that the agent could not see at the time. That is your problem.

I expect you to reverse those charges and close my credit card account by Thursday COB. I also expect a phone call or email with a complaint reference number by Wednesday 12:00.

Failure to do so will see the following response on Friday:
1. I will refer this matter to the Ombudsman for Banking Services (I believe two working days is a reasonable period to resolve such a simple matter).
2. I will also close my cheque and savings accounts.
3. I will give you three months' notice on my bond and vehicle finance.
