We moved our policies to Discovery from Liberty over a year ago. Every 6 months, our broker comes & reviews everything & we adjust & increase accordingly. A few weeks ago he arrived & we changed some things & wanted to add life cover & medical for my parents onto our portfolio. I was sent a form to sign without the first 4 pages for me to see, then when I eventually received my existing policy documents, most information was wrong. They had listed 2 pages of exclusions which I was never made aware of giving them more reason NOT to pay out on ANY of my policies than to actually do so. Worst of all, I was never sent new quotations or reviewed documents for the increases or policies for my parents, yet without my permission, authorization or knowledge, Discovery debited my account with R2k extra at the end of last month! I cancelled everything & sent it back. Our broker begged & finally we agreed to re-instate only 1 policy. Friday I specifically asked to please have all the details before anything is finalized or debited. Sunday night, they just debited my account again, WITHOUT permission. This time they used a "naedo" system so that I cannot send it back! That is & unethical!
