DON'T EVER CHANGE YOUR CHEQUE CARD

Between myself and my husband we have had Standard Bank in chunks over the last two months. My husband went and got a replacement card as his was damaged - well what a huge mistake. Nothing has worked correctly on his account since then - he is now walking around with three cards that they issued him and it is a luck of the draw as to which one works at any one time. He cannot draw money from an ATM nor pay with the card - and Standard Bank just says they don't know what is wrong. Forget the fact that he has had to go into the branch a zillion times to try and sort this out - he runs his own contracting business so pray do tell me how he must run his business when he has to run after Standard Bank and their inefficiencies all the time. As for trying to do internet banking after the card was changed - well I would need another 200 pages to relate that issue.

I have also had to replace my card and my goodness how lacking in service from Standard Bank. It boils down to their staff are untrained, uninformed, ill-mannered and quite frankly don't care!! This has been going on for 3 weeks now. Time to move to another bank - Standard Bank is the pits.
