Property Transfer Was Delayed

My property transfer was delayed due to funds not being released on an agreed date. Jouberts, my transferring attorney, has been most helpful in trying to give me a reason for this. Nel Attorneys, who represents FNB as the bond attorney, has been more interested in protecting FNB than supplying an acceptable reason for the delay.

Mr Nel of Nel Attorneys has indicated that the problem lay with Jouberts so I tried to arrange a meeting with all parties. After many unsuccessful attempts to arrange a meeting with Jouberts and Nel, Jouberts was able to secure a meeting with all parties on the 09/09/2013. Unfortunately Mr Nel never arrived and on contacting his office Jouberts were informed that he had been double booked and wouldn't make it.

Jouberts was able to supply me with a satisfactory version of the events from their side, indicating that the problem was either with FNB or Nel. Since Mr Nel never arrived he missed his opportunity. This says more about his integrity, business and future reputation than anything else I can say.

Since FNB has appointed Mr Nel, FNB is ultimately responsible and they should seriously reconsider who provides them with this service in future.
