I have been struggling to resolve a transaction on my credit card for months now. When I get through to the specific departments I get different answers every time. After lodging a formal complaint with Standard Bank on the poor service of their department and complaining here, I received a call a month late stating that Standard Bank have indeed resolved the issue and would be paying the money back into my account, I even asked them to reverse the bank charges that have piled up while this issue took so long. I was assured that the bank charges would be reversed and that my accounts would be credited and I could close my accounts. This was a week ago. I have just received a call asking me when I would be able to pay the outstanding amount that has been out of my account and the full bank charges that have been accumulating. This is the second time they 'resolved' the issue just to follow up telling me I need to pay the full amount. What the is going on with this bank. They can't even regulate their different departments. They respond to these complaint with an email but they have no intention of following up on. This bank runs on.
