First National Bank
Debit order date change

Business & Finance

I have been banking with FNB for a while now and never had any issues, which convinced me that I made the right move and changed to the right bank. That belief was changed two weeks ago and cemented last week when I was given the run around for trying to change the debit order date. After successfully changing all my debit orders including Wesbank, I have been told that I cannot change the debit order for my loan account unless I can provide a letter as proof that my salary payment date has been changed. I thought as a client I have a right to determine what happens to my money but I guess I was wrong. FNB prides itself on putting the customer first with the "How can we help you" message but it my case it more of "How can we not help you". I am now beginning to think perhaps I am with the wrong bank and contemplating to either move my account or cancel the debit order and pay in the installment myself but then again, I've been told I cannot do that either. I AM DISAPPOINTED
